Interested in adding some bondage to your life but not sure where to start? This fun and accessible introductory class will introduce you to the basics of kink and rope bondage. By the time you’re done you’ll have all the skills you need to safely and confidently start exploring bondage on your own.

This is a bondage class rather than a knots class, so our focus is on teaching a small number of versatile techniques that you can use in all kinds of ways. All the ties in the class are easy to learn and can be used for many different play styles.

The point of bondage is to connect with your partner, so we’ll also cover fundamental kink concepts like consent, safewords, negotiation, and aftercare. To help you put it all together, we’ll have fun demos of the techniques in action, along with suggestions for how to figure out what kind of kink works best for you.

Single students are welcome, but this class is most fun if you take it with a partner. We’ll provide practice rope if you don’t have your own. The 38 page color handout includes all the class material as well as additional ties to practice at home.

COVID Protocols:

We will announce the masking policy four weeks before the class. If you buy tickets for a class before the covid policy has been finalized, please understand that masks may or may not be required.

Join Rogue Ryder for this couples (or moresomes) workshop to learn tantric massage and meditation, somatic curiosity and breathwork, as avenues to discover yourself and your partner(s) in a new and ever-unfolding way! Using meditation we cultivate practice with ourselves and explore focusing our attention where we would like it to go. Using touch we connect ourselves to another to be curious and explore sensations and pleasure. Using breathwork we access alternative ways to be present with a partner. This workshop is for couples(or moresomes), straight and queer, who desire to: learn more about their anatomy, rewrite sexual societal and gendered scripts, learn genital massage for pleasure and healing (practicing on partner(s), connect more deeply with partners, and meditation techniques.

This workshop is a three-parter* and gender expansive. Each 4 hour workshop includes guided practice, live demonstration, and lab time. Using touch, curiosity, and breath you will be taught multi-step tools for learning and noticing what sensations, wounding, and pleasure potential you store in your pelvic floor and genital tissue.

*You do not need to attend all 3 workshops. It is recommended you attend at least one massage workshop and the follow-up for Q&A and more practice time.

Part Two:  

We will go over couples connection breathwork again for practice, meditation(adding more advanced elements for returning students), body curiosity and communication and Penis/pelvic massage. This massage will go over the anatomy of the pelvic floor surrounding the penis, and all external anatomy, for pleasure and discomfort/numbness mapping.

NOTE: (While we will be focusing one day on each of the binaried gendered genitals for massage, you are encouraged to show up for what aligns most with your gender expression and desire for discovery. While I use descriptive terms here, in workshop we can use a breadth of words to describe whatever the colorful spectrum of people who attend call their anatomy! AND nothing is required, if you have a vulva and do not like penetration, you can practice only what you feel comfortable with and you will still find value in attending.).

About the Educator:

Rogue is a queer, kinky, genderfucked sensual educator, pleasure excavator, and tantric guide; a multi-ethnic performer, artist, and athlete. As such, they were fed up with tantra being dominated by cis-het dudes in linen pants, and people spiritually bypassing very real worldly traumas. They started Queering Tantra 8 years ago as sensual guidance for the whole person to step outside the dominant societal norms of most sex and tantra. The queering lens gives us more freedom and accessibility, for all bodies and sexualities.

Their practice combines BDSM/kink, Tibetan tantra, somatic awareness, breathwork, movement, and a number of other tools. As a certified athletic trainer with a background in dance, combat sports, and rock climbing, they bring a very unique mixture of play, practice, and praxis to all their work.

Macabre: dwelling on the gruesome; tending to produce horror in the beholder; ghastly

Join us for Macabre, a play party intended to create space for players new and old who are drawn to the edges of sensuality and sadomasochism. This recurring event invites you to come prepared with your most creative and spine-tingling scene ideas.

The evening begins with a mandatory orientation for new attendees, which you will have four chances to participate in. New attendees who are unable to attend the orientation will not be admitted to the space. ALL attendees must show a valid ID and vaccination card before entering. 

Macabre is an inclusive environment that embraces all sexualities and identities and celebrates queerness in its many forms. We are committed to creating accountable spaces that are open to all races, ethnicities, ability statuses, and sexual orientations. Please note, only the first floor of Gallery Erato is accessible without stairs, and there is a small ramp to navigate at the entrance to the building.

Macabre Schedule:  

• Doors: 7:30pm
• First orientation begins at 7:45pm, and orientations will happen every half hour through 9pm, when doors will close to new entrants
• The downstairs playspace is open from 8pm-1am
• The upstairs playspace is open from 9pm-1am. 

You are welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Please bring your own water bottles, there is a refill station available.

COVID Guidelines:

We are closely monitoring local COVID infection rates and city/state/CDC guidance as well as the latest information about the variants in order to keep this event as safe and accessible as reasonable while protecting the health of attendees. Requirements may change and we will endeavor to notify ticket holders as soon as possible if they do. At present, we expect that attendees will provide proof of vaccination at the door. Sufficient proof of vaccinated status is a state/federally issued vaccine card or a photograph of your card (with a matching name on your ID) showing that you are two weeks past the complete vaccine course. Please note, a negative COVID test is not sufficient if you are not vaccinated – vaccination is required (and boosters are highly recommended). K/n95 masks are strongly encouraged, but not required.

Want to create a great flogging scene? Not sure about the basics? Know the basics inside-and-out but think there might be something more? This experiential flogging workshop is for anybody that thinks they've got something to learn. We'll discuss the foundations, practice basic and non-basic strokes, and cover how to turn it all from a collection of techniques into a scene.

This workshop centers around practice. To participate:

• Arrive with or plan to find someone in class with whom you are willing to alternate swinging a flogger and being a person-shaped target that can provide feedback.
• If you've got your own flogger(s) please bring a couple, if not I'll have extras to loan out.
• Bring a sweater/hoodie/jacket to wear as padding during practice, plus water and a snack.

SEAF needs volunteers to get this festival off the ground and into the stratosphere! There will be general information and we will let you know which volunteer roles have special trainings and when those will be.

Full list of dates below include the  This first, in person orientation that takes place at Gallery Erato (309 1st Ave S Seattle, WA 98104) on March 30th and will also have a number of special trainings for specific volunteer roles.

We will also have 2 virtual  meetings so you can join us as your schedule permits. Register for a zoom meeting by choosing the date you want to attend and we will email you a meeting link a few minutes before the event starts.
